OK im just about out of ideas on how to get this thing to fit right. I just picked up the GT2871R (86.A/R) and mounted it to the Megan manifold. Ive searched these forums for answers multiple times and i have not seen any similiar installation problems with this turbo. Im still running internally gated and i cannot figure out how im supposed to angle the compressor outlet so that its facing the strut tower more, Ive tried mounting the actuator bracket in all 3 different positions onto the comp. housing and i can only get it to face straight down, towards the block, or up at an angle that hits the primaries on the manifold. This morning i tried ovaling out the mounting holes on the bracket so that i could rotate the actuator a couple more degrees to try and get more space in between the actuator nipple and the comp housing. and i think its still gonna be to close. so any help from others with this turbo would greatly help. is it possible to have the actuator shaft at a slight angle connecting to the wastegate flapper? or is that just asking for more trouble? O and another question, I went with the TAKA turbo lines and i am curious as to where the hell im supposed to thread in the back water line from the turbo to the old hard line that runs around to the back of tha block and over the trans. case. I know this sounds confusing as hell but thats because it is! haha, so please any advise on the fitment and installation of this turbo would be greatly appreciated.
