yea, is you could take it to his father, that'd be great. he's going to come down on the 27th, so unless you guys REALLY need the fan before then, that'd be cool. but if mark picks it up tomorrow, that'd be fine too. idk, i'll ask him tomorrow.


stock JDM suspension? if so yes. not the stock usdm suspension if thats what you're asking. i am low low low as it is.

+24 in rear, +30 in front fwiw.
 
yea keith...i asked if you had stock suspension...jdm would be stock, i assumed you hadnt put us 240 suspension on a silvia...
 
silvia springs sit much lower than 240sx springs.
i would imagine keith's car is AT LEAST 1-1.5" lower than brent's car.

btw, a friend of mine and brent's, his name is drew, he's a mechanic at some oil change place on 280 (he's changed boyd's oil a number of times apparently) is getting a SILVER MOSS (insert GD here) 98 s14 (a/t) friday from a guy in tennessee. i can't wait to see this car, even w/ stock shit, it's SO HOT. and yes, he is doing a 5speed swap eventually....which brings me to this:

C, do you still have your KA tranny? drew wants it for the swap. call me sometime and let me know. my phone is afu right now, so it'll be next week before i can call anyone on my phone minus the numbers i remember.
 
ho hum, i`m wondering what happened to nate and if silvia suspension is firmer along with being lower. there was some article I read about bumpsteer that showed how where the spring stops and how much force it takes to push it there having serious negative effects on the shock absorption and general functioning of the suspension.
That`s pretty simple, if the same soft spring has less travel, then it`s easier to completely compress the spring. iWonder if the original design for our suspension was the japanese or american version (whether they shortened it for japan or lengthened it for america), though they probably just redesigned the whole strut/shocks for either, ours being longer and softer than the ones they used in japan.

gregs single cam beater now has a hood, a red one. still some kinks to get worked out, cause the hood won`t force the latch apart and iCouldn`t do it with a screwdriver either, so iSoaked in wd40 for the night. and uh... my car`s still almost fixed, the washers didn`t come in today so, tomorrow we try again.
 
uber l337 magical washers that make the headgasket invincible.

btw yes, my suspension is quite firm actually....aftermarket rear shocks though. but evne still, the front is pretty firm.

the lowes point on my car(exhaust dip) is 6" from the ground while the front bumper is about 7-8" off the ground. the gap between the tires and the wheel well is about 1.5"(or two finger widths). kind of hard to tell due to the shitty offset of these wheels i have now and they're set so far inward.
 
s14 silvia springs (on certain models....iirc) have the same spring rate as 240sx springs, but have more coils to them to retain the spring rate at a lower height.

lowest point on my car is about 4 fingers....soon to be greg's car.

Yeah, I remember that guy. I talked to him for a while about 240's in general, since he said he knew Brent and I recognized the name. I've gotta get my oil changed tomorrow, so I'll have to ask him about his new ride.

Yes Alan I still got the engine and Tranny. BUT! I'll need some $$ on the tranny will u, or Boyd please ask him how much will he give me for it?? ( I'll take 100 for it, with the slave cylinder in cluded) Kindda running short on $$ for my own swap..I still need new belts...and batt relocation for my own car..and ofcourse a new freakin windshield ( which I 'll be getting from Jason). so let me know. my # is 256-312-0090 remember it Alan.. geez lol C
 
will do, C. i may talk to drew tonight. i told him you would probably want $100ish since the tranny was still in good running condition.

btw, what you doing w/ the engine? is it still mine for the taking (+ some $)?
 
well guys i found a guy thats gonna fix my zenki. Hes gonna wield in a new quarter panel and rocker panel for me. If any of you know many people on zilvia his screen name is BONE. He wants my parts car shell in exchnge for the work. The car will have to spend about 2 weeks (maybe less)in chattanooga for him to work on it. It will be primer however but at least there will be no dents anymore.

Yes Alan the Engine is still urs, u can have both the engine and tranny for 250, and sell it for whatever u want to, let me know asap. C
