Ok, I'll start with a little background.
I just swapped a 95 KADE into my 93, so I have the 93 Cams just staring at me.. My LONG (ie two years or so) term goal is for a decent n/a fun street car. I don't really care what my peak hp ends up being, somewhere between 175-200 would be nice. I'm not going to turbo this engine nor get an sr/ca/rb so please don't even mention the word turbo in this thread.. I'm stubborn, it's never going to happen.

I'm going to start with upgrading my cams (along with the normal i/h/e of course). I don't want anything super wild (remember I have a pretty low hp goal) and I want it to be ok as my daily driver.

So I have 2 options: 1)Run the 93 cams in my 95 engine (either 240/248 or 248/232) or 2)Get a regrind from Delta (I had good experiences with them b4)

Ok so I could buy an aftermarket set of cams but why spend $500-600 when I can get regrinds much cheaper, they're reliable, and I've had experience with them before.

I would think I could get a more aggressive cam regrind and idle fine and everything than the 248. I'm more into keeping my low end torque where it is. I don't want to shift my powerband up another 1000 rpm or anything.

So I'm looking for suggestions. I know people rag on going n/a with the KA but I'm not looking to set any records or anything. I just want a small chunk of torque and hp for those times I feel like I want a little bit more get up and go.

I'm going to give Delta a call soon as well and see what they suggest.

Thanks for any input you can give me.

edit: just fyi I am running the 95 intake mani, not the 93, which I've heard has better flow? a full on p&p job isn't in the makings yet although if I salvage my 93 head I might do so eventually.

I'm fuzzy on the whole re-grind thing. Unless they add some metal, I can't see what they produce being any "better" than what's available OEM wise. Your best bet would be custom grinds from Crower (if they even do KADE cams). QUite a few companies build custom camshafts- usually cheaper than JWT from what I've seen. Damn 4 cyl cams alwyas seem to be grossly overpriced. A MOFO v8 cam is bigger and 1/6 the cost. :(
