Guys, I am normally the LAST person to ask the same damn question that everyone else asks, so sorry about that.

Basically, I do NOT want stretched tires or any extra camber. I daily drive my car and don't dig stretched tires.

I am going to purchase 18" wheels sometime this summer. I want to know what wheel size will fit without stretching tires. I am all for fender rolling/pulling, I just dont want to get a wheel size that fits with a stretched tires and put normal width tires on and have them be way too wide to fit.

If I am better off with a 9" rear wheel with a 265 tire than having a 10" wide wheel thats cool with me. Just advise what would actually fit the front and rear for wheel widths.

Thanks guys - Evan

First, why do you want a 18" wheel for daily driving? I dont fully understand your post... you want to know what size tires will fit on your wheel without stretching, but you didnt give us a for sure measurment for wheel width. What size sidewall do you want?

If youre so worried about scratching your wheels, its really not that hard to avoid, as far as tire choice goes. As long at its not 245 or below on a 9" wheel you should be fine. I think the main thing you should be afraid of when it comes to damage to your rims is curb rash; if your truely daily driving your car for simple transportation
, even with a "stretched" tire you probably wont run into curcumnstances that will mess up your wheels.

Roads are good here dude. I am just doing research on wheel sizes now. I have had 18's on my last two cars and just like big rims :) I am very good about not curbing etc, I have had my last rims for over a year and they have not touched a curb. Tire sidewall sizes, I would like to have a very simaler outer diameter to the stock 240 tires.

Anyway, I am trying to fit the widest tire in the rear of my s14 essentially. My last 17s on my z were 8" wide with 245s so I assume a 265 or so on a 9" wide wheel would be fine. I know that the skylines can stuff a 10" rear wheel and a 275 tire (meggala's site). I am basically wanting to make sure that if I buy a 10" rear wheel that I can fit a wide tire on it. I know 10" rear wheels are on several cars but they have stretched tires and camber to make them fit. I dont want any extra camber or have to stretch tires to make em fit.

I am sorry to be so vauge in my request. I should probabally just order rims and then figure out the tire size later. Thanks for all your help!

what size tire and wheel did u go with?

ive been wondering what offset is needed for a 10" wheel and 275 tire to fit flush and good and not rub with only fender rolling (i know someone who did this and said everything fits fine, but i didnt ask what offset he was running).
