It should be here tomorrow. I got the EMS without wideband, the AEM UEGO guage for wideband, the GM map sensor, and the GM IAT sensor.

I'll probably put it in this weekend. I already installed the EMS software on my laptop to check it out.. I'm stoked. :yummy

could you elaborate more on your standalone setup, i havent heard of that combo and it sounds interesting

The ECU is the AEM EMS, I'm using AEM's UEGO w/52mm guage for a wideband, and the two GM sensors so I can get rid of my MAF, and switch to a MAP setup.

i was confused on the part where you said you got the ems without wideband, but i guess you just bought it separate from the ems? and how/where do you hook up the gm sensors

The EMS is the actuall standalone ECU. The wideband w/guage is used in conjunction to assist tuning. The GM sensors get hooked into the EMS to switch to a MAP setup and get rid of the factory MAF.

freakin awesome, i want that setup so bad! where did u get it, can u pm me where and price if u dont want to say on here?

Got it from a local shop (MSP) and the total for everything was $2184

sweet, who is tuning it for u, are u going to attempt it urself? keep us updated on tuning and such, and if ya can, save any tuned maps on ur stock turbo, i might need to borrow some to use as base maps someday, if i can ever afford it, lol.

yea i understand that, i meant where on the motor did you hook up the gm sensors, say for example, did you drill a hole in the manifold for the map sesor?....thats what i meant

I haven't mounted anything yet. The MAP sensor hooks up like an electronic boost guage, there is no need to drill and tap the manifold. The temp sensor tho I'm unsure of where I'm putting it yet.

Well, I got it all in but the IAT sensor. (it hasn't arrived yet) I spose its all working correctly. I uploaded the calibration for the MAP, and the car starts fine, and tries to idle, but the AFR is 10:1, so it barely idles. I haven't had a chance to play with it much.

I know this post is 5 years old but by now you must have it together.. How did you wire it and how well does it work. This is the first one on the GM map i have seen without someone saying you will need a standalone that most people already know, any info would be nice
