do you have proof of that statement or are you speculating? my friend is putting down 578.96 on a stock bottom end... trying to see if he is the highest or not

and for those that have been asking about the stock bottom end. Like i said my buddy is putting down 578 horse all on stock bottom. this car is getting abused with dyno tunes and drag racing. Hell it even went down to NOPI in atl from pittsburgh. so yeah the bottom end is pretty stout and can push out some HP

thank you!!

i've seen a little over 600. Your buddy is pretty close.

for 350 you could use stock rods and pistons. But the most important thing to replace is the pistons. Dont waste your money on rods. They are forged pieces and have plenty of potential for 500+.

Any make sure when you are replacing your pistons to just rebuild the entire motor. Get new bearings, bolts, and studs, and you'll have a basically brand new motor to beat the hell outta :yummy . Stick with your current rods, or at the very most buy new OEM rods. You'll be fine on your current rods though.

Go w/ an Apexi HG, greddy can suck a big one.

i planning on running in the 350whp range and i was wondering if my bottom end can handle it. i've heard that the sr20det can handle 500+hp. Im planning on getting a gt2871r or a jgybb37. i am planning on getting cp pistons, metal headgasket, 72lbs msd injectors and of course an ecu retune. i was wondering if i needed new rods too or if i can use the stock rods in the 350whp range. what else do you think i need
Nice choice of turbos... I would go with the JGYBB37 if I were you though. Personally I have a variation of it sitting on my engine right now. Mine's the Incon GTBB37 custom ported by Andreas Miko. Should make for a really nice turbo. I've talked to Jason and Shaun at JGY personally about the JGYBB37 and it seems like a nice lil turbo for the power and money. Good luck.
