thats good if thats stock, i was hitting a 15.7@89 with just an intake back in 2001 with 68k on the clock...yeah more info woul help. ALSO I HAVE 95 S14 N/A PARTS FOR SALE IF YOU LOOKING TO MOD
yea i have no internet so i have to wait check my mail an what not at my friends dorm in ucf. but im deffinetly stock 1996 se no parts 134500 mile on the clock all my friends sead that was prety damn good for my first shot so any critizism is acepted. im saving money to buy an sr, but i want to at least do intake and exhaust. so tell me what na parts u got. by the way it was at orlando speed way on fri night so if any one goes there we can link up an what not.
if youre gonna get an sr sooner or later why buy an intake? thats just more money put into a motor youre gonna take out. do you have LSD? if not, get one..that will def. help your 1/4 mile time. an intake isnt gonna make much difference...
im pretty sure kaaz 2 way is the current favorite. however cusco, nismo, and tomei make some nice ones as well...im sure there are many others...these will run you about $800-$900 give or take.
I ran a 15.7 with intake and exhaust in our track in nebraska (which sucks just fyi). however, my 1/8th mile was a 10.00 and yours was a 10.2x. This makes sense by looking at your 60 ft which was a 2.4 and isn't very good at all. So, you are not getting good launches but your car is definitely quick for all stock. The lsd advice is VERY good. Also, tires and suspension will help. Get those launces under control and get a 3 inch exhaust so it will be nice for turbo also. Then you should be more like a 15.6 or so.
that r/t was the mustang that was next to me i ran the 15.8, and i have a lsd i changed the diff oil so i pulled of the diff cover and i do have one ... but my tire are shit on a platter so thats y i cant hook at 2500 rpm and i have to launch at 1500 so im gonna change the tires.
well congrats on the lsd, that will be a big savings for right now. you should probably get an exhaust system to let it breath a bit more. is dragging your main goal?
If you dont have one already, put a SR20 in it. We did 12.20s with a stock block s14 blacktop with the usual bolt on stuff like fmic intercooler, boost controller, megan exhaust header, and 9 inch slicks. It doesn't take much.:ack
