This is probably going to be my last 240sx. This is my 5th one. I have had three SR's and now its time for something new. I like the info that i found regarding the CA.

This is a 1991 240sx Coupe with a working hud after i fixed it. I replaced the front fenders and bumper to a pignose because the others were in bad shape. When the motor is done (hopefully the end of march), Im taking the car to get it painted a bmw pearl white. The car currently sits on some tein ha's with some s14 seats. Interior is in perfect shape and everything works.

MY plans are to replace the headgasket, front and rear seals, waterpump, t stat, bearings ect.. Im looking to get 280-300hp.

Here are the pics

I got the motor, tranny and ecu for 800.00

I found a VERY CLEAN oem clutch, when i took the tranny off, hopefully thats a good sign.

I put the motor on the engine stand and began taking parts off and inspecting them. I love how the motor looks, its been really taken care of. The clutch looks brand new, the rear seal looks new and no signs of leaking (im still going to change it). Turbo is in great conditon and the timing belt looks brand new too with no cracks. This motor must have less then 40k on it. Im keeping the a/c since the bottom line on the CA compressor bolts up perfectly to the KA a/c line. The other line on the KA just needs to be cut and the CA line needs to be welded on. More on this later.

The only thing that i found bad was the broken line to the intake for the vacuum. Whats the top one for? Can i just block it off?

ehh i dont thing he needs cams, a cometic headgasket and some arp head studs would be a good idea tho, and possibly try and find a gt28rS, will help you reach that goal a bit easier. more info on the tune tho? is it a rom tune or stand alone?

true, but the bearings are a must.

but a cammed CA would fucking scream lol.

yea for sure, im actually prolly going to pick up a spare head sometime soon, pnp, new guides, seals and after market springs and retainers and then prolly get my cams reground ($400 for whatever i want pretty much, same as a set of aftermarket) i want to be able to make power up to 9k :) heh

i'm sure we can find a fitting for the broken vacuum line bro...also if i were you i would start looking for some cams ....definitely would help you out especially if your gonna get a port n polish done:supercool

just for referance, not saying totally not to get cams but dee from nico went over 300whp with his setup, which was a completely stock motor, just upgraded turbo and fuel and managment obviously

^yes

Its a rom tune just like enthalpy's. He also takes into affect compressor maps, fuel, ect.... Here is more info on RHOMBUS...www.rhombus-tuning.com

I got the gt28r used for 450.00 shipped in great shape. So i decided to shoot for the 280-300hp range for now. Trust me there will always be upgrades in the future.
