200hp-250hp is very possible. but if u plan on turbo'n the ka, do it right. dont just slap a turbo kit on it and jump up the boost. your engine will hate you, and it wont hesitate to show u how much it hates you.

i figured i'd get flamed for this..... but im not comparing a KA-T to SR... im asking if i can get into the 200 RWHP range WITHOUT a turbo.......
you can, but you'd throw so much money away doing so that you'd just feel like a retard in the end. if you just want ~250hp, that can easily be done with a very small amount of boost on the stock ka.

now, i wouldn't recommend that. i'd highly recommend doing it right the first time and rebuilding your engine.

If you do decide to go NA KA, here's a little video for some motivation:

Stock bottom end and runs 11's. Of course, this guy's been tuning KA's since the beginning of time.

you didnt say that in your first post.

and I've been pondering an NA KA idea, bore out, 11.5:1 comp pistons, head work and comtech valvetrain, some fancy cams, ignition chang, fidanza flywheel and full exhaust/intake, it may not be the fastest but damn wouldn't it be fun to drive.

thanks for all the honest feedback without just flaming my question..... im looking to have fun with the car and miss having a turbo (had a GST eclipse in the past) but as a family man now my budget is much less..... really just trying to see if before a sink $2000-2500 into an SR place the time/labor to put it in was wondering if i could piece togther a nice KA build up for the same budget... the difference to me being that i could buy an intake here, exhaust next, then header, etc and i wouldnt have to drop so much at one time and my daily driver wouldnt be down so long doing the work..... again thanks alot for the feedback
