I m looking around at some cabon fiber hood for my s14 zenki. I just want to know which makers and what design do some of you think is good.

I plan to use it as a daily driver with small trip to the track.

seibon oem style hands down, i have a vis invader style that fits like shit flops around at high speeds like a limp dick(reason for hoodpins) and overall shitty quality...but hey when u get it for free it's all good

i have an authentic VIS invader style on my s13. was on my previous s13 too. no hood pins. had that for two years, never had any problems with it. it was solid, fit well, and the weave was great. didn't even wiggle at 120+ mph.

seibon is better, but more expensive. i.m.o if the car isn't a seriously modded beast, then just use a VIS. it's good quality stuff

are you sure it wasn't an F rated hood, chops? vis sells their poor quality hoods too, at a reduced price, but they let the buyer know. if you got it free, you may not know

well, i still think seibon and chargespeed are both for people build ultimate track machines or have way too much money. i'm rocking an OEM dead man of a hood right now. that thing weighs quite a bit. but i prefer the look of my car as it is.

chops wahts ur location i have a stock emerald green hood if u wnated it...

oh well thats prob too much in shippin to send from delaware...

seibon and vis hood are the same. made in the same factory in china. they have different molds though. vis has beed around longer so their molds are also older. seibon's molds are relatively newer. both hoods will fade after a while. i have found it is usually about a year after fading occurs. of course it also depends on your weather conditions and how you take care of the hood, but evetually it WILL fade.

fiber images? i didnt think they were even still around lol. nothing special about fiberimages... my suggestion is if yo uwant something light and cheap then go for sunny stylin' if you dont mind a little heavier hood go with seibon/vis (whomever has the hood in stock at a reasonable price due to the carbon fiber shortage vis has been out of stock on alot of hoods). if you have money to spend get the c-west or charge speed one. the quality is very nice.
