i believe xe is the base model, not sure what the x means though..
XE base model, usually no interior power options.
SE model, power everything cept for power sunroof, sunroof is manual. SE has rear wiper, and sport seats, vlsd optional...
LE model, power everything, power sunroof, rear wiper, leather seats, vlsd..

also with the vlsd came the HICAS system and ABS. i think the XE is the 1989-1990 coupe.

My 97 SE Coupe came with a power moonroof standard, two modes: tilt or slide. Also in 97 there was no rear wiper on the SE, no power seats either.tallic_red240sx said:

The LE added leather seats, keyless entry, an antitheft system, power seats and maybe a couple other expensive cosmetic bells and whistles I didn't care about.

my s14 base came with vlsd but no abs.

the only s13's that came with vlsd were the fastbacks that came with the hicas package. the hicas package included abs, vlsd, and the hicas system. no coupes came with the hicas package.
