I'm selling all the mods from my GS-T. I should have around $2300 to spend on a 240. I'm not sure how much these cars are going for right now, all I know is that a couple of my buddies have gotten them for cheap. What kind of condition 240 can I get for $2300. I can't find any swapped 240s under 5,000... Which is understandable, I'll end up doing the swap sooner or later. :thumbsup

If you want a s13 prowl every junkyard and country road looking for one that isnt beat up but has a blown motor or screwed tranny. You might find one for a few hundred. My buddy got a clean coupe with a blown motor for 300.
If your real lucky I found a auto s14 with a blown motor and a friend bought it for 600.
Now if you need one running you might find a REAL high mileage s14 for that or a decent s13 hatch or coupe. S14s around here sell for 3k-5k on average running. Dont jump the gun wait untill you find one thats just right for you and buy it. Also make sure it has a clear title. If you resort to a salvage title car have it looked over and put on a frame rack. Another friend of mine got his s14 for 2800 with a salvage title and its been good to him so far.

Good shit. I'm still undecided as to whether I should buy a rolling chassis and save up a little for the swap or use most of my money to get a clean running s13. I'll just be patient, I'm in no real hurry.

swaps not hard. just time consuming. Theres a STEP-BY-STEP guide ot the swap somewhere on here. you and some somewhat knowledgable friends could do it over a weekend if you read a lot. Thats assumiing everything is done just right.
I'm actually going to Wyotech right now. It's not that I don't think the swap is hard but it'd be alot easier to just have a shop do it.

Thanks alot man, I appreciate that.

Hopefully I'll be able to actually buy the car in a couple of weeks. The GS-T partout process is taking longer then I intended it to.

Great info. I was considering the 240 as a project car and would be doing a swap. I was curious is the rb25 swap almost identical. I know that I would need the mckinney mounts but is it just as simple? I would be using a s14 chassis due to the compatibility of the harness and gauges. If any of you have done it would you say its realatively straight forward and doable for someone with little mechanical experience and a single car garage space.

I'm just going to get a clean running 240 for $2300. I decided to do that instead of rushing into gettin an sr and dropping it in a beater. I'm just going to stick with the KA motor for a little bit and do suspension first.

thats a good idea...u could prob get it cheaper too. I got one in really good condition for 400, granted it was from my dads buddy but still, it was way under 2300
