ca18det no idea idle problem

ok i have my ca in the car all wired up, it was all ready, about to start it for the first time, but then it looks good, all lights start, then it turns on then dies, we know it has something to do with the maf since when we unplug it it stays on, but wont go pass 2k rmp, but when we plug it in it idles bad then dies if we dont keep the gas pedal down , we know the ecu reads it, there is no vacuum leaks, timing is right, maf is good wiring to maf is good any ideals would help alot since i would like to drive my 1991 240sx

could be a bad MAF, if the problems occur when the MAF is plugged in than it sounds to be the problem, throw in another one.

What MAF are you using?

we already tried 3 different MAF's. All of the MAF's were tested before use and they were in good shape. We are using the stock ca18det MAF. Everything seems to be perfect, the car idles fine (with the MAF unplugged) as soon as we plug the MAF connector the car automaticly dies.

thats a textbook mafs problem right there, if the mafs are known to be good then what about the wiring?
what codes is the ecu throwing?

the ecu is saying that everything is fine, all the wires are connected right, the maf is sending to the ecu but still wont run right oh and we are using the stock maf for the ca18det eloy is the mechanic working on it even he is having trouble

what about a bad vaccuum/boost leak?

make sure you have a filter installed

i could not find any vacuum leaks, and no boost leaks, but i order a MAP-ECU hoping to byy pass the maf all to gether, lets see if that works

i installed the map sensor but that did not work, we found out that it is the ecu, we tested it and it is not working, if anybody knows were i can find a stock replacement that would be great thanks

I have that tuned one available but its for z32 mafs, not sure if it would be compatible with the map?
