Exhaust Question

I tried looking at the magnaflow website for a catback exhaust for my '93 240. They said they didn't have one for my car, but to get a universal exhaust. Is there a difference between a catback and a universal exhaust? I'm still learning about performance mods.

a universal as in a tip? you dont need an exgaust learn the car first

There is a universal exhaust with tip and without tip. I know I don't need one yet, and by asking this question, I'm trying to learn about my car. I never said that I bought one yet.

why not look at companies that make 240sx specific exhaust.? or you could get a magnaflow muffler And have an exhaust shop make you custom piping to the muffler

a catback means from the catalitic converter to the tip basicly you would buy it for a specific car a universal would ussually mean your buying the muffler or a tip and no piping and you have to have it welded up

I've always been a catback person because all the shops around here (my town) don't know how to weld.
