Hi, I'm new to this site, I just bought a 1989 240SX XE for $650. And I was wondering if there is a differance between a 240SX and a s13 or if their the same car? If there is a differance than could you list them for me? And also do they make custom tail lights for the XE model(like the chrome or carbon fiber ones)? Thanks in advance!

So that means I have a s13? If so then does that mean any part that says its for a s13 will fit my car?
Yes you have an s13. Most s13 parts will fit your car, although unless the motor was swapped, you have the SOHC KA24, so you will have to get motor parts specifically for that motor. Also, body part wise, the hatch and coupe have different rear bumpers.
The 1991 240sx and up have the DOHC KA24DE so avoid buying parts for that motor unless yours is swapped.

Thanks, but whats up with the silvia name? Is that a differant model or is that what the 240SX is called in japan?

Yeah I think I do have the stock ka24. What GOOD mods are there to beef it up? I'm talkin' about high horsepower and torque.

sometimes a flame or two is well deserved and other times you just have to bite your tongue and give nice answers (not directed towards anyone) 
my only advice is to decide what kind of money you have to spend, and go from there. if your car has to be an ebay car because your poor at the moment well than so be it. but if you have loads of money to spend let me know, lol we can have you rollin with a 20,000 dollar bill in about a half hour. seriously you should decide if this is a long term project and make goals if it is, if its just a fun for now car do the typical rims, intake, exhaust, beat it and sell it to me for 500 so i can plan my next project. i hope my semi serious post is of some help.
