Fireplug, what kind of ECU are you running? i'm planning on the EMS for our drift car but still looking into how much luck the Nissan guys are having with them.

Car looks nice. I'm running AEM's unit. I've had virtually no problems with the ecu. I haven't setup the 2 step launch yet, once the car hits the ground for the season I'll do that and hopefully I'll get some nice times out of it. :eek3dance

The newest edition of the built sr20 is in and has been fired up for the first time last sunday. We'll be putting the interior and rear suspension back on the car this weekend and it'll be hitting the streets for some break-in time...then straight back to the dyno to shatter last season's 500whp@21 psi.:dancingco

that's not exactly a cage.........

are you planning on adding on to it or something?
Haha, ok...it has a 6 point roll bar, does that make you feel better? And yes, I will be needing to add to it as I'm sure I'll exceed the 135mph limit for a 6 point.

This is what I get for NEVER checking the sr section. I didn't even know you were on this forum. Car looks sick. I wish I had gotten in touch with you when I was in town for a week. Good work Aaron.

Walter
:rotflmao Yep, it's out and about again walter! I'll be driving it this weekend and getting some miles on the new setup. Once that's achieved I'll be heading to the dyno...I pulled it in the garage last night and buffed the paint. It came out really good, hopefully I'll have some pictures up when I'm done.

Okay so I have most of the interior in and I got sick of how the car's paint looked, especially after it had been sitting for almost a year. It was time for a buff. Here's a few pictures of how it turned out.

Tonight's task is dismounting the tires, painting the rims all one color, and lowering the vehicle all around. :)

is that a homemade cage or did you buy it pre bent and weld it in??...i have to put one in my s14....and how hard was it to paint it inside the car

and another question is what rpm are you hitting full boost @?...im tryin to figure out what range i may hit full boost (GT3582r "35R")

It's a custom built 6 point built by a shop here. They bent it and welded it accordingly. I'm pretty happy with it, he made the clearences between the door bars and the doors pretty tight! It wasn't necessarily "hard" to paint the cage inside the car...it just wasn't the most fun thing I've ever done. No matter how much you mask off, you're bound to get overspray on something! And I did. I ended up having to spray solvent all over the inside (and some of the outside) of the car to get rid of the overspray. To answer your second question about boost, I'm getting it around 5k-5500. I also have HKS 272 step 2 cams and the turbo is a T4.

Here's some pictures with the wheels all one color, I hurried and painted them so I could get the damn thing on the streets without having to worry about mismatched wheels. :)
