What kind of numbers do you think this setup would run on the dyno?

I read on a forum that you guys were building a supercharger kit for the
240sx. What kind of performance have you been getting from this new kit?
What psi can the supercharger support? I plan on running 15+ psi . Do you
have any suggestions on a setup or other parts I may have overlooked?

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR DRAG STRIP TIMES, YOU WILL DO OK WITH A VORTECH. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO DRIFT OR RUN YOUR CAR ON A ROAD RACE, IT WILL BE WORTHLESS FOR THAT. THE EATON KIT WE DESIGNED HAS PRODUCED ABOUT 220 HP/220 TQ @ 7 PSI SO FAR ON A STOCK ENGINE. ON A 2.4 ECLIPSE 420A I MADE 428 WHEEL HP AND 388 TQ ON A BUILT ENGINE @ 15 PSI BOOST WITH AN EATON KIT I DESIGNED. HERE ARE PICS OF THE CAR ON THE DYNO WHILE WE FIGURED OUT IDEAL MAF LOCATION, CAI LOCATION, ETC.

Finally we get to see the engine in the car. I think this setup looks great. I can't wait until I save up the money for this kit.

so , is there a way to still get a kit for 1200.... ? or must we deal with the 3k price tag.....because honestly... the 1200.00 dollar pricetag is whats going to make the kit sell... not the fact that it's a supercharger... I mean, for 3k i built my motor and slapped a garrett turbo on it etc etc.... making in the realm of 360 whp and 375 tq (KA25DET)...... and lets be honest, i have a few good friends who work as techs at nissan dealerships... when i told them about this they were like "oh no, not the eaton m62"... i guess the supercharger is barely efficient and 15psi is deff. its maxxing point.....

and to the guys who are doing this... im not trying to ruin your sales/reputation.... but you need to included the high thresholds of the power that the SC is made for, so people dotn go around thinking they are going to get 500whp on a m62 eaton blower without endyn upgrades etc...

like i said, im not slamming you, for 1200.00 i'll buy a kit in two weeks, but for 3k i can make more power... just being honest....

its kind of like.... "hey i want some nice work meisters... so im going to buy them where the best price (3,000) is....but if SSR professors are less than half the cost (1,200), why not buy those" they are both high quality 3 piece wheels ,and in the end, they do the same thing.... No ones gonna pay 3k to be different (supercharger rather than turbo) when 1 makes more power,,,

Even if yo were planning on getting 500whp it is obvious that a low model supercharger wouldn't cut it. Even with turbo kits you have to have a beefy turbo to supply the air. It is the same concept with a supercharger.

Not to harp on you driftking, but for 4-5k you could easily have a very nice setup with a turbo kit or supercharger. Either one it is for the driver to decide. I would rather a supercharger because of the cosistant power gains through the rpm's. Superchargers have already proven to be more reliable than most turbo setups. The main thing to get over is that the only difference between a supercharger and a turbocharger is that one is driven by exhaust and the other the engine itself. 3k could build you a nice ka-t. or even an sr20det. These setups are so popular though, that for someone to come up with something different is great. I wish someone would have done this earlier.

*edit*

This all covers the engine rebuild, the only thing left is for to chose what supercharger.

it cant be that hard to peice together yourself. write up a blueprint for the adapter after measurements are taken, and bring it to a machinist. then mount your blower. this reminds me of the thread where the guy built his own itb's for a ka. ths is similar as far as im concerned, in the idea that the tank section if the intake mani is being removed and something else goes in its place. when i picture it in my mind it looks phisically simple. use a 2 piece mani and make adapters. a guy on the turbo legacy forums i read made a kit for his ej22t subaru. it was definatley custom but he got it done and it worked out. just takes time and thought AND money.
EDIT: nevermind the guy is now running 2 superchargers on his ej22 glad i looked for pics to back this up

heres the original pic i was thinking of. definatley "custom" and definatley makes it look easy. obviously different for us since it a different type of engine alltogether but, you can see what im getting at....
