I am looking at puttin an rb20 into my s13 pretty soon and i was wondering where many of you got your engines. i was looking at jgycustoms or jarco inc but i dunno if jgy sells a tranny with it and if the engine is any good, i have read some comments about them but none about there engines. and my buddy has a jarco inc engine and his seems to be fine. just looking for anny more options.

to me it all depends on what you want to do with the motor. If you want to drop the motor basically stock and not do much modification to it right off the bat, i would go with a clipset from jarco. Michael will even start it in the clip for you so you know later on if you're having problems getting it to start its on your end. If you have plans on upgrading this, moding that and doing a lot to the motor off the rip, i'd suggest a motorset.

I bought my clip and its as stock as i got it and it runs perfectly, however i knew that jarco is going to provide a quality motor that was from a running car. MY roomate on the other hand had plans to majorly rework the entire motor so he bought a cheap clipset.

So like i said, it depends on what you need to meet your goals.

you have a spare one in atl? what condition is it in?
I came with the car and Tiger racing said it was a good motor. The harness is un cut and turbo spins freely.

JHOT has 3 rb20s still in stock and in 6 weeks or so they will have an RB26. As for what comes with it....you usually get everything you need. If it doesnt come with something i.e. MAF, or fuel pump or what not, they tell you in their auctions. If they screw up and forget to send something with the motor they send it next day to you. pretty good people.

Just curious about what people think of this place

http://www.jazzproparts.com/

they offer free shipping. Website says "Motors average 35,000 miles and come with a 100% start up warranty."

just wondering if anyone has dealt with them before and what their experience was like.

nevermind, it'd be coming from texas and what I'm saving in shipping I'd be paying in duty..
