oo...i forgot one thing....im not trying to make an ass out of myself or anything considering im new here..lol...but i feel i have to defend something that ive been doing for a few years..lol...dont take nething personally tho

to you people who said 300whp aint shit.....consider this...your right..300whp aint shit...in any other car besides a saturn....hondas?..been done a million times....same with mitsu's...and nissans...and subarus...the list goes on....but to make 300whp in a car that has about as much aftermarket behind it as a geo metro does and to do it in a car that was NEVER meant to be tuned/modifyed/anything more then a commuter economy car is something worth looking twice at.....granted...it takes money...time..(anyone else can order a turbo manifold over nite from somewhere...turbo saturn people gotta wait a few months while its made for em),,,but in the end....u end up with something pretty damn cool that you did...most of it yourself....cause u didnt go out and buy a bolt on turbo kit....you built...customized..researched....on it and made things work.....and 30 whp is quite a load of shit in a saturn....

can't really come here and expect anyone to vote for the saturn :) If the 240 is in working order, go for it. But you are getting an older car and unless you plan a engine swap or re-build, problems will occur sooner rather than later.

Maybe sell your Saturn to a private seller, buy a 240 with the money and you should have money left over to fix it up a bit.

I say 240 hands down yeah they both make power ... but hell anything can be fast it just takes money . However other than the major difference in drivetrain there is the potential in mods and so forth and a saturn was never desigend to be a hot rod but a gas potential economy car .

man... u guys flamed him away... he was just lookin for some pros and cons of a 240 vs a saturn....

well, first off a 240 is rwd... and if it doesnt have a lsd can be pretty difficult in the winter... (or u could just weld ur diff like i did...)

2nd a 240 usually isnt in the best shape... depending on how the person who previously owned it took care of it and how it was used (ie: drifting, drag, sprint, daily driver, etc.)

3rd if you're lookin for a 240 to be super reliable... it's pretty difficult, but if maintained well, it can last through anything... (i drove mine for 3 months on 3 cylinders cause a fuel injector died and i didnt have the money to get one)

i say if u want a car that you dont really have to take care of... keep the saturn... but if you feel you can handle alittle work on ur car, get the 240. i like the way a 240 handles and i know alot of people have already stated that rear wheel drive is better than front wheel drive, but man... i just need to stress how much better it is... on the highway, doin 80, i dont need to slow down to take those big curves... the ones that if i were in a civic (or saturn) i would have to slow down to atleast 60 and still be struggling to control my car... my cousin's saturn struggles to keep u with me on the highway when we're takin those turns... it does have a pretty quick accel though... eh... enough rambling.... in short i'd stick with my 240 just cause i like the better handling and increased control...

EDIT: oh yea... and i remember you askin somthin about where to look for "how to's" on auto to manual swap... well there's alot of those in the DIY section of the forums... if u cant find it there just hit the search button and search "auto to manual swap" and i believe there's a paddle shift 240 out there too... search "240sx bible" or somthin like that... i believe i saw it in that thread...
