I was wondering when this footage would leak on to this site.
The run he crashed during was nothing short of being piss poor. No angle and simple driving technique that you learn in driving school could have prevented that issue from occurring. He blamed it on a loss of a HUGE steering angle when he only lost a couple degrees, and as you can see by the video, was barely using any of it anyway. He also said he didn't have enough power on the long sweeper on the bank where he crashed.
The one run he did decent that day was only decent because he drifted an entire line with no spin outs or straightening out for the most part. However, he kept a very inconsistent line, did not hit a single one of the many clipping points (there are 2 or 3 for each turn), and had absolutely no throttle control.
The viper is too much for him. He has had more drifting experience in the past 8 months than a lot of the drifters that have been doing this for 5 years now have had. He jumped in with pro-am's before he even reached the heart of the grassroots sport of drifting.
