Ok here is the scoop . I did a srs13 swap into a s14 . I had touge do the harness.. For a quick fix of the electric fan I plugged the wire in with the 12v source fuse for the cigar lighter. It worked fine numerous trips everywhere 4hour drives so on.. Well a couple of times the little 10amp fuse popped so I upped it to a 25amp.. Hour of driving later the car shuts off and the ecu is fired.. I put in a spare ecu I had and 2 blocks later its fired . I ordered a another ecu and removed the fire from the fuse I ran it to the battery with a inline fuse and a switch.. I drove 45mins to get my car back home . I pull in my drive which is a pain because of the drain dip and my 2-way. The car shuts off and this fuckng ecu is fired.. On all ecu it is the section where the 12v source for the ecu enters.. WTF I know there is probally a short somewhere now but where to start.. Where does the 12v to the ecu begin .. Oposing of the ecu..?

So you thought pulling 25 amps through a circuit that was designed to have a max of 10 amps through it would be a good idea? Thats pretty stupid.

Is your fan still hooked up to the cig lighter? If so disconnect it and put the 10 amp back in. I wouldnt be suprised if you melted something though.
Fell since u got so happy and quick to flame I think u might have missed the part where I said that I rewired the fan to its own fuse wires and switch... No wires where melted no fire was caused .

Is that what you meant by this?

I ordered a another ecu and removed the fire from the fuse I ran it to the battery with a inline fuse and a switch..
You removed the fire from the fuse? Sorry now I see you meant "fan".

Anyway, heres a link to the s13 sr wiring diagram

The problem is a lot of it in in Japanese

Its going to be a bitch to diagnose, especially if the only way to test it is with new ECU's. It might be a job for an auto sparky.

Im not sure what the current draw on the constant ECU power is supposed to be but if you can identify the wire you can put a fuse (like 10A) in front of the plug so if the ECU draws too much it will blow the fuse not the circuits.

Yeah thats what I meant fire-*wire . sorry I get excited and start trying to type all fast and just jack it all up kind of like this wiring.. But on past that now.. Yeah Ive located the pinout for the spot that keeps burning out in the ecu its pin 36 12v switch ignition... I thought about trying to put a fuse inline but then Im going to have to change the fuse constantly or until I find the short. If worse comes to worse (I know this doesnt sound to good coming from me right now but) what about running a whole new 12v sorce for the ecu.. It just has to come on with the ignition..?

I've heard of ECU's getting fried because of improper grounding. Have you tried checking all the of the ground's on your ignition system?
