alright , so its raining outside pretty hard. my brother wants to drive my s13 240sx which i have had for less than a week. he gets on the road and we get in a development. theres a cul-de-sac . you know...

so he floors the car while turning and of course with the 240's open ass rear end... it does a full 180 before doing a 360 and hitting the right curb on its left side....so my front left tire de-inflates almost instantly...

now theres no body damage, no bumper damage , but im curious...

what can happen with this kind of incident. i was thinking tie rods bent , control arms , sway bars, struts can all come in to play but the car drives fine with a donut on it...although it veers to the left a little (but i think a donut does that to a car)

opinions?

jack it up, throw some jack stands under, look for anything bent. you may have got lucky, might just need a new tire. Check control arm, tension rod, tie rod, etc, pretty much anything that is anyway connected to the wheel, check to see if you can see bends. most likely your just pulling to the left a little due to the donut, try a new tire and if it drives straight, and your camber looks alright, id say you got lucky.

I did the same thing in the winter with my maxima. Although I was doing ebrake turns in the snow and hit a curb and tire went flat. The rim was fine and got the tire resealed and worked fine. Nothing else was wrong with my car and I hit pretty fast. I don't know how fast you were going. So as far as other damage I think you should be ok. Your tire probably took most of the hit.

tie rod for sure... 240s have some panzee ass stock rods , maybe the shock and if your lucky the tension rod/control arm

nah my left front tire went over the curb....then the rear left slammed into it but the rear tire didnt flatten , the front did (they were old ass tires)...

yea i had the same prawblem i let my aprentice dirve my car home in the rain and when we got off on the offramp he was going to fast and spun out lets just say it cost me a balljoint strut and lower controle arm so if its just a tire you are really lucky

so where are these tie rods

yea i hit my left side on a curb pretty good and hopped it. after putting new tires on the car it steered to the left pretty good and has a constant shake/wobble in the steering wheel. my left tie rod is def bent a little bit so i adjusted it outward to counter the left steer. so now i got it steering straight pretty nicely but it still has that little wobble in the steering wheel./

anyone know what i should do about the wobble? thanks

Yeah replace the fucking tierod. They're peices of junk first off all so bending it back counterintuitively is just going to make the damn thing snap. Just get some aftermarket tie rods and be done with it. You may have kinked a ps line.

No, don't start changing parts. Take to a shop to make sure the fram isn't bent. No needt o start changing parts on the car if the frame is bent.

It's sad, man. LikeI have always been saying. Most of the "accidents" could've been avoided. :12dunno I know it was your fault. I am talking about the person who was driving your car.

Good luck.

If you're using the car in a way that you're likely to bend tierods, drifting, road racing, circle track racing, it's better to have the weakest part of your steering system to be the easiest/cheapest to replace. If you put on high dollar tie rods the next weakest part in you steering system will bend if you make contact, and that is your steering rack. You can use tie rods like a fuse to prevent damage to your steering rack. I'd rather replace a lot of tierods rather than a steering rack.

he didnt slam into a wall here.. the frame isnt going to be bent lmao.. tie rod, and linkage will get fucked before the frame will.. tie rod from the sounds.
