Holy crap...how'd they manage to cover that up?
lots of bondo, newpanels, dash, everything. the frame was cracking in half and 80%of the driver side was warped/beaten back into position.

+1 for the MR2, i've always wanted one.

and yeah... thats a 350Z... or most of one:thumbsup

sure. but you could have made some money off the shell.
actually, that frame is toast. or else I would have stripped it down and fully prepped it and kept it. here's some old pics so people know I'm not ruining a perfectly good 240:thumbsup

Whole fender section was rippled, along with a huge dent near kickpanel.fusebox along with a small hole

ugly vdubs... and yeah, can you say hammer? and no, it doesnt fix everything in this case

Image

mmm, caulking and saran wrap to plug a hole and hide a crack behind the drivers seat

Image

my 240 has cancer...

Image

replacement windsheild? why? maybe because the piller was crushed?

Image

frame rail cracked and falling off? eh, put some bondo in it!!!!

Image

seriously, what the hell is that crap?

umm, ever think that almost all of that is covered up by panels and carpet? do you tear apart the interior to buy a car? haha.

and i didnt care about the condition of the body. I bought it for the motor.

i greyhounded from maryland to alabama to buy the car site unseen(my aunt drove it for me to make sure it ran)... i was going to buy it no matter what as long as the motor was good, because that's all i needed.

How thick is that roof?? like thick enough to weld and grind maybe????? up close pics of how thick it is would be awsome if possible... thanks in advance.
-Daniel
all the roof is is a thin sheet of metal which is very easy distorted when you cut through it. the only solid part of the roof is the pillar on each side, the rest is non-structural sheet metal.

And i'm bored so I'm updating this thread with more insanity :thumbsup
