Yeah I have a 95 Pearl White 240SX SE. Well I went UNDER a fence it and the car is pretty scratched.
I just bought a bumper and some Kouki sideskirts off a '97 and they are white also.
Problem is... this paint is frickin expensive from what I've heard. My pal who's redoing the car works in an auto shop and has plenty experience doing cars on the side.
Here's my solution so far...
my best friend had some Dupont black paint with red pearl. I was skeptical about this at first but we mixed some of it and it looks pretty f-in nice. My friend who's painting it said it's gonna be like one big black mirror with an awesome shade of red going through it.
I really like my pearl white 240 but I'm looking at the cost of paint. Theres enought paint to do my whole car and enough pearl to do 3 cars and my friend is gonna sell it to me for 100$ so I'm thinking of just going ahead and painting it "Black Cherry". I wanted to detail this car in blue cause it'd look good with the white pearl but I'm about to say screw it red will be good enough on the black..

What do you all think? Black with red pearl?

black cherry damnit,:p that was what i wanted to paint my car exactly.
if you do it i wanna see pics of how it actually looks on the car so i can decide if its what i want too

Yeah I'll try to get some pics of it, I've been told theres another white S14 around in the town I'm from so that's another contributing factor in why it's most likley gonna get painted.

I wrecked and slid on some ice and went through a chainlink fence. The whole car could use a paintjob. I probably won't do it for a month cause I need to get money for my friend so at least the bumper and skirts will match the color of the rest of the car, but it's still pretty f'in scratched up...

I'm glad a lot of you like it.. It' does look pretty bad ass from when we mixed some of it. Black with red pearl.

Sound like a really nice color just make sure you do it right and paint the jams and paint the engine bay black or the black cherry. Sorry it just bugs me when you see a sweet paint job and then they open the hood and it is some other color, just my opinion.

I'm not painting the engine bay sadly. we're too lazy to pull the engine to do something that can be done later, such as an SR Swap. So for now it will still be white.. There's nothing under there anyhow that people need to see under the hood.

any images of the paint?
