ok so im racing my friends civic in my 240 and all of a sudden i hear this flapping sound...im like wtf is that...it kept getting louder until i had to pull over...i get off the exit and the car shuts off

i start it back up and it just stalls and shuts off again. finally it turns on

i go about 10 feet until i hear a loud bang and white smoke everywhere...towed the bitch back home...anyone selling a ka?

headgasket?? Something to do with coolant probably.

What year is the engine, ill take the distributor if its a 91-94

Sounds like a bit more than a head gasket although I'd venture to guess he blew the head gasket as well.

depending how bad it blew, if you fill up the radiator to the top and then crank the engine over, a fountain will tell you right away it's the headgasket.

we tried getting the car to a roll and popping the clutch , nothing

engine seized, that is the exact same thing that happened to my engine, except it wasnt a head gasket, i let a friend borrow it and he sucked water into the intake and didnt tell me until like a week later so it rusted in the cylinders seized the number 1,3 pistons solid, we tried breaking the engine free by popping the clutch but didnt work, same way you tried, in your case it could have been a main bearing, because that was the knocking, flapping sound you heard.

haha yea...it was 239,047 though...almost 240 , damN!
