s13 hatch with coilovers what is the best size that fits without having to modify fenders and i dont want any problems with rubbing, im thinkin about gettin 5zigen FN01R-C rims but im stuck on sizing, either 17 or 18s, for rear i wanna go with 9" wide(+20 offset), on fronts im thinkin 8" (+35 offset) cuz i dont want any rubbing when turning or hittin bumps.how will these fit? will i need spacers? will i have any problems with clearance in andy direction? flush? should i go 18s on rear 17s on front sumtin like that? the possibilities are endless and i did some searching but none of it really applied to me so lookin for some oppinions from some ppl that know more than me

well if ur right then it makes things real simple and ill be thrilled but are u sure it wont rub at all on the front when turning really tight? cuz on my other car it rubs and its a pain in the ass trying to avoid situations that make it rub and it just makes me quiver to hear the tires rubbing i hate it

235/40/17 is your friend on 17x9 +20.
I bit of camber and maybe a roll (on S13) and you're fine.

i guess the next step would be to find some tires...im not hardcore into drifting, drag,or autoX anything like that so i dont need expensive top end tires. Im sure i will be doing some agressive driving and possibly might get into a bit of drifting so i wanna try to find a middle road for performance and price cuz i dont want crap tires but i dont want to be spending alot of money on tires every couple of months from possibly some drifting.never really been into racing or drifting but i wanna start and now that im building the performance car i can get into it. suggestions on tires?

i guess i should have mentioned this before im in canada, vancouver area so what i was gonna do to get the 17x9 5zigens was make a trip down to the states and get em put on ditch the stocks and drive back to canada not payin the duty so i will need to get the tires from that shop. what i was wondering was what brand/style tires are good for what im looking for

what's your price range for tires?

Check out Hankook, Falken, or Federal tires.

If you're really budget minded, Federal ss595 in 17" sizes go for around 60-70 bucks each.

Also, make sure whatever shop you are going to has the 17x9+20 in 4 lug. If I recall correctly, there are only a few shops that carry that size. www.splparts.com is the one that comes to mind.

If you don't want to roll your fenders and don't mind running stretched tires, you can go for a 215/40/17 all around. If you don't mind rolling your fenders but don't want to run stretched tires, 235/40/17 should be good. If you can compromise, 225/45/17 is ok but is a slightly taller than the 215/40 or 235/40.

I have 245/40/17s all around on my s14 on the 5zigens 17x9 +20. At stock camber everything is great in the rear, and the front right tire rubs on the splash guard at full lock at slow speeds. I like my setup, and I have falken fk-452s. I have nothing to compare them to, but I know on slick, wet roads and at 15 psi on my redtop, I rarely lose traction.
The 235/40 would definately prevent rubbing on my s14, and I bet it would be fine for your S13 as well. Raen419 knows his shit, he gave me advice on my wheel buy.

I just finished mounting Falken 615's 235/40R17 and 255/40R17 on 17x9 +20 offset like an hour ago, right before work. The 235 were a tiny bit stretched, and the 255 were pretty straight. They will be going on my 89 fast back. I know the fronts will fit, but not sure how well ther rears will fit. Im probably gonna have to roll my fenders a shit load in the rear, but whatever. I got my wheels from SPL, im all about that company when it comes to suspension stuff.
