I dont think i've ever really seen any manufactures make a CAI for 240s, only a super long short ram intake that replaces the stock intake pipe.

Look at the pic above. This is what i'd do for a CAI if i had an N/A 240. The only difference i would do is actually cut a hole in the battery tray and have part of the intake cone sticking down the hole to actually suck in cold air.

how much the injen cold air extension helped out.. is it minimal or pretty noticable?
By Butt Dyno says umm about 2 hp and 5 with really cold air in the winters .. LOL

Ionno but it looks nice and it makes the Short ram a HELLA lot deeper sounding.. :thumbsup

Ill try to find a pic of my engine

Oh if you plan on getting this, make sure you get a drill
and a grinding stone from Home Depot, for the hole on
the panel is alot more smaller than the pipe itself.......

Well ask you self one question first.
1. What are your goals for this car?
Ex. if you plan on turbo KA24DE, then forget it because this will not be usable. If you plan on SR20DET then forget it. But if you want to have some fun while you save up for your next step, like me :heyhey , then its worth it..
Hope this helps you out.

KA's aren't very responsive to mods. All you're going to get is "mental" horsepower. Also, if you're going to make a custom intake, don't use pvc piping like that asshat in the 240sx.org write-up says to. When PVC heats up, it releases HCl fumes which you wouldn't want in your engine. Do it up like tallic_red240sx did and use metal.

KA's are very responsive to mods(you can get one to 200HP with $800), but intakes aren't very big HP gainers on any car

When I said mods, I meant n/a bolt-ons (intake, exhaust) not turbocharging.

You're all idiots. The best intake is PVC plastic. It doesn't retain heat like the aluminium garbage. Home Depot FTW.
STFU

ASIA. dave means n/a bolt ons. 800 for 200hp on a n/a ka
Show me. Last time I checked the highest one could get was 180, but I've been MIA on 240sx boards for the past couple of months.

There is only one idiot here buddy and I will give you three guesses at who I am talking about. Did you not read this earlier in the thread, "When PVC heats up, it releases HCl fumes which you wouldn't want in your engine."

Read before you respond.:nono

guy posted time slips running a 14.8 n/a and over on club240.com i believe, a guy dynoed 200 hp with n/a mods.
Dynos can also read very high. They're not the most accurate machines in the world. And by dynos, I'm referring to the roller wheels. Now if you can pull the engine and hook it up to a dyno ... *drool* (see Gothenburg by Nights and you'll see what I mean)
