100A Fuse Replacement Walk Through?

We had a recent problem with the electrics in the car and it was eventually found to be the blue 100A fuse under the hood in the engine bay. The 100A fuse is bolted in and needs to have the fuse box disassembled to replace it.

The main problem I have is that I’m currently in California and the car is in Florida – the person that’s going to be replacing the fuse will be my GF!!!

So does anybody happen to have a link to a walk-through – preferably with photographs so that I can talk her through this via Skype and not have to explain absolutely every step of the process?

Cheers in advance

just wait till you get into florida. i have tried this 100 times. it took 100 mistakes to realize that most girls won't do it right. worse off it was one who was into cars. i can't imagine how bad one who knows nothing about cars would do it.

^Cause that's anything besides blatant sexism and stupidity......Every girl that's worked on my car did a great job at it. YOU I wouldn't let come near it with a 20ft pole.

The 100A can be gotten without taking apart the fuse box. When I did mine, I was able to pull back enough plastic to slip a wrench down and get the hidden bolt.

Well we did try the Skype talk through method.. with no success but at least I could see how the thing came apart in the end.

I did successfully take her through changing the O2 sensor years ago when I was overseas :)

In the end one of her friends husbands came round and she was able to show him how to access the bolt and the job was completed.

All of the lights etc., are now back to normal.

I'll be home this weekend and going to do a swap on the radiator hoses (top and bottom) - so hopefully nothing else will need replacing any time soon!

And we've all had 100 douchebags like you work on ours at some point. It's just the facts. Keep it to yourself.
