On the 20 Oct., there is a 12 hr race. Open to stock cars only, roll cage required, fuel cell max size 22 gals, check their web site for all the rules. 3 drivers allowed, street tires, no Sebring type cars allowed of course. Any piston engine. I'm getting some local guys together, putting a 22 gal cell in my 240 (yes it will fit) that i've circle track raced for 5 yrs in the 4 state area around Va. Ocala is a 3/8 mile slightly banked asphault track. Last year the winner did 2000+ laps, 2nd place was a Honda Prelude, 6th place car did the whole race on 1 set of tires. I've run 200 lap enduro races before, but this will be something new.

Yes it's in Florida. $5000 to win.
Not very boring when you're out there with 60-70 other cars, doing 85+.
I've noticed a lot of people, who've probably never tried it downgrades circle track racing. I've roadraced, i've circle track raced dirt and asphault, I like them all. The reason I circle track race more is you get to race a lot more and it cost less. This year i've already raced 25 races, and I don't have to pay the tracks, they pay me to race. I'm not in this for money, just fun. If I roadraced i'd have to spend far more time traveling than racing, plus a lot more time between races.
