Hi Everyone been lurking for awhile but Ive come to you with a problem I have a mildly modified 180sx tonight was the first time Ive had it at auto x and when Im turning at a slower speed say less than 50km the steering is hard and not quick to turn almost as if the powersteering is not working but then it kicks in and turns , Is this common for the sr20det power steering pump? Or is my pump failing/
I have no whining coming from the pump, feels fine under normal conditions, and the fluid is topped up.
Now keep in mind when Im reefing on the wheel to make a tight turn is when this happens.
Let me know what you guys think
My other car has a linear feel through out the steering even when Im reefing on the wheel at any speeds.
