hey everybody,

Well my 240 has been pretty much OK for the most part. Has about 118,xxx miles and lately its been giving me trouble. The car idles pretty rough. Usually varies between 500-1200 rpm. Also while im driving and I am in gear and than hit the clutch in, Its as if the rpm drops too far and the car dies out on me. First time it happened I was turning though a pretty busy intersection and it scared the shit out of me cause the power steering shut off.

What I have done to try and resolve the issuse was to clean me crappy ass K&N filter and I also replaced my fuel filter. When I replaced my fuel filter and my air filter was off i turned on the car and it idled perfectly at 900 for a couple seconds than i turned it off.

Any ideas of what may be wrong with it? MAF sensor? Injectors? There was a period of about 3 weeks when i started pumping regular gas. Thats about when the trouble started.

Thanks,
Tomek

Does it sound like it is missing when It idles rough? I just had the same problem recently only it would be while I was driving, it would suddenly just run on 3 cyl. I started by check codes, and didnt find anything so I moved on to pulling plug wires, while the car is running. And found that cyl #2 was not firing.
Cleaned/checked plugs changed plug wires and nothing. Pulled the plug off the #2 injector and there was no change in idle, still rough. Changed the injector out, and it ran fine.
Also if your MAF was bad you wouldnt be able to rev past 3 or 3.5.
I would try checking plugs, and injectors first.

shit i think your right cause 1 injector has already been replaced by the previous owner. I'm gonna have to check that out.

i put injector cleaner in and it fixed it up. i figured it needed a cleaning cause unlike ur car ka24e, mine didnt happen while driving and only happened some of the time. so injector cleaner does the trick..
