Tiburon GTv6 with intake, mufflers (not full exhaust) and cams
i am about to race him tommorow.
what do u guys think?

they are pretty quick, he might get you by a little. if you had a de youwould get em. give it a shot though, could be a drivers race..

I have an s14, MT, full int. with spare tire and jack. plus junk in the trunk. Mods: stock KA, intake and 3" cat back.
Ran one in the highway some time ago, on a wet and rainy road. We were pretty much even from a 40 roll untill I felt like it was too dangerous to go any faster. We went to about 90.
I say with your sohc, and if you get a good launch from a dig, you will be even by the end..again, drivers race.

Couldnt have been a GT. GT tibs should beat you. They run about a 15.5 the same as a GT eclipse. A fun fact about tibs is that 6 speed is the fastest, then auto, then 5 speed. So unless the other guy drives horrible then he should win.

its was a girl i used to work with, it was an auto v6, from a dig, around a turn, i had the outside 'track' haha... maybe it hadn't been tuned up since she bought it, whcih is very possible

Ya dont look down on those cars. With bpu they fly. All cuz its hyundai doesnt mean its slow, the newer hyundai s are starting to get fast.

haha, you talking to me? i know those things can be quick, and i definitely know stock KA's are nothing special when it comes to drag, but THIS tiburon wasnt fast for some reason.

ka24e and ka24de doesnt really mean anything cause i beat a ka24de by 2 car lengths with my 24de...
but yeah a gt tiburon should beat you, 2 more cylinders and newer...

eh not calling out anyone in particular. just saying don't underestimate the cars. They're just generic Mitsubishi's anyways A lot is driver too, remember that. That's why around here stock srt-4's range in times from low 14s to mid 15's lol nothing much different between the cars, just driving styles.

yeah, usually the lead-foot SRT-4 owners get the worst times, anyone who gets an SRT-4 needs to know that the first mod you should get are DRAG RADIALS, those cars can't get traction for shit.

Lol surely not with 2.4L, turbo and FWD... At some point I was really into them though, thought i would buy one...Insurance owned me... G2+ less than a year of driving experience = 6000$ of insurance a year for anything new-ish.

oh wow i forgot to check up on this thread .. umm yea.. the tibb beat me. it was about 1/2 car length tho. it took off in the first but i slowly started to catch up but it beat me fair and square.

I own a Tiburon Tuscani GT V6 and also a 91 240sx ka24de, I can honestly say that my Tiburon will kick my 240sx's ass, hands down. That is until I throw a turbo on my 240sx in the next month. In my Tuscani, I've beaten alot of cars that think Tiburon's aren't fast, it's funny to see the looks on their faces. The best was when I beat some guy in his Integra gsr, I think he almost cried. Anyways, I'm hoping to put a supercharger on it, once I'm done my 240sx, which probably won't be for another 5 years, lol, hey this way the warranty is up on the Tuscani.

a buddy of mines just got his gs-r v6 shipped here its completely stock m/t, raced him today and its slow as hell, he took off , i was behind him in 3rd took off after didnt downshift and caught him and passed him before i shifted to fourth. then we line up even around 45 mph we go, again i stepped on it in third and just pulled away. it was slow ass hell, he didnt even want to talk to me after or look my way he was truly embarassed. i felt bad too cuz my friend and i were bashing his car earlier. he may not a been the best driver, but it didnt look like it would of made much of a difference.
