265/35/18?

I want to get the Falken Azenis 615's for my car, but they don't make a 255/35/18 so I was looking at their 265/35/18's. I'm running Tein Super Drift coilovers with it lowered a couple inches and i'm getting 18x9.5 +30 rims.

Will this rub or stick out? If so, how much would it stick out.

Edit: I'm talking about the rears only and I have a '97 S14

See if you can get 18x9.5 in a +15 offset. That would be the best offset trade off between aggressive and functional.

and don't run 265s those are way to big, you can fit 235 45's or 40's on there instead, and then just roll your fenders and it would be pretty flush

I run 255/35/18's on the rear at +33 They fit fine and I've got a finger gap or more of clearance between the tire and coilover.

...given that your running 9.5's and a 265 wide tire I's speculate that you're gonna rub slightly...If not it will be freaky close to rubbing..

I wish the rt615's came in more friggin sizes....I wanted to get them but the size selection blows!

Agreed... My back up was 255/35/18 as well with a +30 offset. So a 265 is a no go? It would've been nice to have those 615's :(

What tires are comparable the 615's and come in 255/35/18 and 225/40/18?

Edit: I don't want to run a lower offset because I don't want to do any fender work. And i'm also content with 18" rims...they don't seem too big when you look at them imo, but I know 17"s would be better performance wise.

dude see if they make a 245/40 that will fit perfectly. and i know you said you are getting the money from your situation, BUT remember the Azenis are a R compound tire and are competition driven, so street life will be very short! and they are expensive too as you probably already know.

edit - http://www.edgeracing.com/tire/1543/ $156 a tire and in 245/40/18

i dont think azenis are r compound. and i dont know if itll rub
it depends on alot more than offset and tire size. camber, right height, etc. you might need a roll, but those wheels arent agressive at all for sizing, i bet youd be fine.

Yes there is that money which helps a lot, but I also work at a tire store now so I get 30% off any tire ;)

So price really doesn't matter to me and tire life only matters to a certain extent. I plan to track this car every once in a while and I want some grippy tires. I guess i'll just go with the 255 to be safe...

That is all nice and everything, but i'm not a big fan of low offsets and I want to run a fatter tire. A 255 sounds about right to me, a 265 would've been nicer but it'll have to do for now. And i'm already pretty set on the rims I want (nismo gt4) 18x8.5 +25 and 18x9.5 +30

I have the same wheels right now on my S13 and I have 225/40/18 front and 245/35/18 rear. 255 would definately fit with my set up. And I have the Apexi N1 EXV coilovers. I run slight negative camber w/ Toyo Proxes T1R's.

Niether of those tires is going to match the Azenis. I have Yoko es100's in 255/35 18. ....they are ok, but agian, nothing like the 615's

You say you work in a tire shop? can you still get Bridgestone Potenza s-03? They're discontinued but if you can find them they'll be at a discount and they'll smoke any other tire out there...even the Azenis. I very nearly got some but they were a tad expensive at the time.

I'm not sure if I can get those tires, but I get them for CHEAP! Like if I were to buy rims + tires from them (can order basically anything). I pay full price for rims and then for each tire is maybe like $45, so it'd be a steal ;)

So ask for Bridgestone Potenza S-03? Do they come in the size i'm looking for? 225/40/18 and 255/35/18

Yeah dude, if you can still find them they f-ing rock! Since they're only recently discontinued (ie. clearance pricing) you should still be able to get them if your tire guy has hook-ups. ....and yes you can get them in those sizes.

Otherwise the only other decently priced tires I can think of in 225/35 are;

BFGoodrich g-Force T/A (kinda expensive)
Dunlop Direzza DZ101
Falken FK-452 (pretty cheap)
Hankook Ventus Sport K104 (really cheap)
Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 (really cheap)
Toyo Proxes T1R (super cheap)
Yokohama AVS ES100
