ha....ya i know, i keep thinking up new things that i really really want to do...but they will all be expensive as hell....like a R34 rear end conversion or something like that HAHA that would be a pricey fuck. So what is this transmission?
5 spd 26 trannys are cheap its the 6 spd on the r34 thats crazy expensive. And if your wanting to put any part from a r34 on ur s13 get ready to shell out some money cuz parts from that car are insanely expensive.
greddy s got a six speed that will work. You should use the supra trans and make a bell housing, or buy a richmond sixspeed and make bell housing that will work.
well if this will give you an idea about the money deal I make 1200 dollars every two weeks and I can put every last dollar into the car...im trying not to spend ungodly ammounts on this but I do want to make it exactly how i want it...and keep it under the 96k of importing an R34
10k in euros, there like 12-16k in USD. If you want a six speed for a ok price just use a supra trans, and get a bell housing adapter made, if you get a good shop to make it, it ll prolly be sfi approved.
ok im not being over zelous here but it really is alot of money just for an extra gear.
and besides like i said earlier if you dont have the proper final drive the car is going to be an absolute dog to drive.
just stick to the rb25 trans, it works and works well, that is unless you are dead set on going with a 6spd then good luck tracking down the r34 vspec trans for the bell housing then finding a supra trans to make it rwd.
the r34 6 speed is shitty compared to the 5 speeds and youll have to notch a hole in your passager floor pan id look in to using the z32 6 speed some sr owners use them
Anyone know where I can get me a 21 speed one? One of them would be nice. But I heard that you can only use them with something, I forget. But I'm thinking I may be outta luck. Anyone?
These guys swapped an RB26DETT and the 6-speed tranny into an S15. You can see the amount of fabrication they did to make it work right! Check out the transfer case fix!
