I have a 1990 240sx and i have to disconnect the battery every time i park because when i take out the key from ignition all my lights for some reason stay on. my tail lights stay on, markers stay on, front markers on, tail markers on, dash lights on (but the check engine light, oil pressure, battery, etc. are off), interior lights stay on, etc. i can turn on my headlights even with the key being out. anyone know how to fix this so that all the lights will turn off when i take out the key like normal so i don’t have to be disconnecting the battery every time?

Download the factory service manual and start reading.
You should be able to pinpoint it to a location. If you are not capable, then don't mess around with the electronics and give it to a mechanic. I don't want to see you get hurt.

i was able to get it fixed by myself, it was fairly easy. the problem was actually the headlight timer that was bad, the headlight timer is located by the fuses on the driverside next to the brake and gas pedal for those who don’t know where it is located at.
it is a pretty long process but easy if you have the correct help. if anyone has any questions i can take you step by step if you text me on instagram @s13renz
the headlight timer also fixed my pop up headlights that wouldn’t go down, they would go up but not back down, dm me if you have further questions.
