Hi all, I'm working on my s12 and since I'm hoping to put in a KA24DE in it, I'm hoping to learn about it here!
Hey my name is Preston and I’m new here. I’m from so cal and I’m just getting into the car scene. I drive a 1991 f150 prerunner so I know like nothing about 240s but I’ve had my eye on one for a little and it’s about to go up for sale and if I want I can make the first offer before it’s up. It’s a 91 hatch with all Megan suspension front and rear with front camber plates. 280,000 chassis miles. But 80,000 on the current ka24 twin cam. Stock rims , nrg wheel and front seat. The dash is cracked and some of the gauges don’t work but I’m not exactly sure which ones. I think it has headers and because of that the guy siad it won’t pass smog but I don’t think that will be a problem for me because my parents live in Arizona and that’s where I register and insure all of my vehicles and then bring them back to so cal. The asking price is 3500$ and pretty much what I’m asking is what should I look out for and what should I stay away from because I know little to nothing about these cars and don’t need any more money pits. (Even though they all are 😭)
