The point of the thread is kind of simple. Keep it to US models

Does the weight advantage of the s13 really outweight the s14....and what about the hatchback?

does the stiffer chasis in the coupe version of the s13 make handling that much better? yet the hatch was designated the "type r" in japan in the later 90's.

then also, how much stiffer is the coupe chasis? and is there a good way to increase the hatch stiffness.. lastly, is it worth the trouble :) (or is it as simple as a rear strut bar/brace)

that fastback isnt the greatest of the s-chassis cars , but its the sexiest.

No. With all the 240 models it is a nominal difference. The only problem with the hatch is the large area in the back left open. Compared to the coupes it is a large void. However a good suspension and suspension component setup will suffice for 90% of the drivers out there. The 89-93 coupe chassis is only slightly stiffer. I have driven S13 coupes, hatches, converts, and S14s. There is only minor differences, but they are all slightly different in the way they handle. Surprisingly the S13 convert is the stiffest chassis of any S chassis car. I think if you buy any S-chassis car it is worth it. They are all great handling cars compared to even todays cars. They can keep up with 95% of the cars out there when the roads get twisty. Even on the stock suspension any 240 is a great handling car...

If you have ever taken your car to a road course or auto cross you would know exactly what I mean. I have owned a few of each so I know the difference.

Do you have any data to prove it is the stiffest chassis?

If you don't think the S14 is stiff here is a photo of my car with the rear wheel off the ground at 60mph, with only a little flex

In the S14 press release Nissan says that the S14 is stiffer than the S13. Why on earth would Nissan make a newer model with less torsional and structural rigidity? The s14 feels toight. Toight like a toiger

Drift Bible...hahahaha Tsuchiya is talking about the S13 out of the box. What S13 enthusiast will leave his or her S13 stock?
