Are you fucking kidding me?!?! My work has one as the company car and it can't even get 35mpg.

Bojangles, if you want reliability buy a Toyota (SC300 anyone?).
The new honda civic Hybrid? Ionno its advertised as 49mpg city and 51mpg highway. At least thats what is says on the website :12dunno

It's called lying. Toyota's actually dealing with some legal issues with their claims, and Honda might recieve some down the road. Honda, like so many others, has a tendicy to exagerate their claims by setting up 'Perfect' enviroments to test their vehicles. When I say perfect I mean optimum temurature, low or no friction settings, and with a cold tank of extremely high octane fuel. They've gotten busted dozens of times doing this with their bikes, and it's no suprize that they do it with their cars too.

At this point in time, there are no hybrids on the public market that make 50mpg.

Bojangle, Why not keep the car, fix it and get a bike (motorcycle) for your DD?

so what's the deal now... when do you think you'll have the 2nd motor up and running?...

it made sweet numbers while it lasted...that's exactly what i'm shooting for, don't sell/trade yet, till you enjoy that shit for a little while, then i'll trade you my n/a piece o shit ! lol

hyrbids suck.
Go with the VW TDI Jetta.
dad's landlord has one, 55mpg average w/ a 5spd on diesel.
I think it'd be a good car..up until it breaks lol.

You could tell that there was going to be a problem with the motor if you read the dyno sheet with a magnifying glass. Looking at the a/f ratio in one of the pulls (the green line) at 2-2.5k there was a real shitty a/f mix getting dumped into your motor. So at idle your motor was getting torn up. But, if you really look at the sheet closely you notice that the first two tunes the a/f ratio was pretty smooth. The more they tuned the car the worse the a/f ratio got at idle. It looks like the tuner is at fault and the motor was most likely built right.

if I deleted all the waiting BS in this thread half of jangles post count would dissapear, and this thread would go down to two pages of actual progress. haha, get that shit done

muahahahah lol but u wont bc its entertaining :).

on a side note, my friend (charles with the 600+whp evo.... w/ the newly broke tranny lol) just bought like a s13 copy of my car lol... kinda. s13 w/ ka-t, gt2871rs, safc neo, d2 coilovers, lsd, some sportmax rims, lots more like defi gauges and shit... all for 3900$. That shit ran as good (not as fast but quality wise as good) as my car did when I rebuild motor #1 running for like 2 weeks (even though it was a bit rich, so is his).
