if your recirculating it, which it sounds like your doing, your probably not gonna hear much of a sound...when you hear most peoples BOVs they're really loud becuase they're venting into the atmosphere, recirc. its gonna be super muffled so thats why your not hearing anything, i say leave it like that cuz you get better performance if you recirc. becuz the air is metered

you prolly have vac hooked up wrong. Is your vac source from the nipple below the TB? Cuz that wont work. I've had that same problem. You can still hear it plenty even if its recirculated. The Type S makes a terrible sqweek that can't be missed.

its fine if you run w/out a BOV. I have mine adjusted so that it dosn't even vent half the time.

its fine. My turbo is perfectly fine. Ran no BOV for a year. Right now im stuck with a shitty Type S. I have it real tight so it barely vents. I know ppl who daily drive with no BOVs for years and drift their cars in competitions. Its not going to kill the turbo over night. And i believe there were factory cars with no pressure venting system. I'm not saying it dosnt put any extra stress on the turbo, but i dunno about you all, but i dont plan on having my T25 for 100k+ miles lol.

let me ask you something, how many people do you know that has blown their turbos from no BOV? There are plenty of blow off valve-less cars out there.

the factory bov was for wear prevention. If you pull one apart you will see it has in internal bleed hole to prevent overboosting. So this combined with stopping compressor surge might have given a factory turbo a few more years in life.
But most people drop the factory BOV and raise the boost to double the factory level anyway :)
