just a heads up, this isnt much of a "build" thread. there isnt going to be a ton of parts and big hp numbers. I will however, be getting as many parts as i can and doing as much work as possible myself. if you think im doing something wrong or should be doing something differenlty, feel free to post and let me know what you think i should be doing.

I bought my 1997 240sx le about 2 1/2 years ago. When i first bought it all i did was get some cheap rims/tires since i was in school and money did not permit. I also did flushed all fluids, changed belts, thermostat.. all that fun stuff. now that i finished high school and college i can start to have some fun with it.

When i bought the car it had a bit of body damage in the rear quarter, but wasnt too bad. after driving the car for a year or so i realized that my car had been in an accident prior to me owning it and was repaired shitty. the bondo that was used to fix the dents was starting to crack on me on each quarter panel. i had the chance to get a bit of a hook up with a chargespeed widebody kit, so i decided to go for it. me and my friend just finished installing it and doing all the body work ourselves about a month ago. after waiting for what seems like ages for the paint shop to be ready for me, they said to bring it in on monday and they'll get started. I also bought work xd9 rims in 18x9.5 and 18x10's.

In the mean time i have ordered stance gr+ coilovers that are waiting to be installed and blitz nur spec exhaust.

i tried to order the following today but couldnt get ahold of the shop im ordering it from:
aluminum hotipipe
ISIS stainless steel downpipe
walbro fuel pump
ISIS aluminum radiator w/ radiator fan shroud kit
silicone radiator hose kit
heater hoses
AEM boost gauge/controller
OEM belts
OEM water pump (maybe)

I also am ordering a stage 3 CC clutch and CC flywheel.

after i get the car running and got everything how i want it i plan on putting cams in it. once i do that ill change the headgasket and get some ARP studs.

here is an old pictures from before the widebody was molded. ill try and get some better/newer pictures this week.

lol I have not updated in soo long.. Never did finish the swap, the guy I was working with went on a month long vacation, then had to go to school so he never had time to work on it (the cars in his garage). I plan on finishing it in the spring.

Even I have gotten so busy with work and studying. Hard to find time to do the stupid wiring and whatnot. There realy isnt much left to do.. the major thing is figure out the driveshaft issue, I reaaaly dont want to put the money out for a 1 peice.. shipping and duty is so insane to Canada. Right now I have both a S14 AT driveshaft and a s13 MT driveshaft, I am hoping the combination of the front half of the S13 and the rear half of the s14 will fit. Even though Ill need to get a new spline to combine them.

After that I have to get a FMIC, which I will probable just find a used core locally and do the piping myself. I am realy trying not to put out alot of money. Trying to save for a house and do some small mods to my wrx.

you realize the reason I am leaving it till spring is because I cant drive it right now anyways? Winter in Canada lol.

Na, she's at my place. I cook up some back bacon, she comes running.

On a "on topic" note, we could organize a convoy box ;) Or just keep a big pile o' parts at my place to come get. Gas might be cheaper than duty fees and shipping ;)

so the car pissed me off last summer so I parked it, taking it to a shop in Edmonton that specializes in Nissan builds to sort out some wiring issues.. Ill have it back for spring.. Ill need to decide if I want to keep it and fix some rust issues (probably would just cut out the frame rails and get new ones welded in) orrrr sell it.

baha ive taken a break from all my forums the past year! except its been pointless because the less time I spend on here, the more I just end up on Reddit..

I guess there are parts I have never updated with.. such as a Greddy M spec intercooler and a MBC, I need to invest in a EBC and some gauges if I am actually gonna drive this POS

Oh and I NEEEED longer studs/spacers for the rear wheels as well

ohh ended up with some aftermarket taillights for retarded cheap.. they are still in the box and I forget what they look like, I thiiink they are this style. I'll probably end up installing them cuz my one tallight has had a crack in it since I got the car.

im not really a huuge fan of them, but I think they might actually look good with the white.

Well the car is 3 hours away, ill take pics when I get it back haha. As far as the rust,l im gonna look into and see how bad it actually is.. I dont want to fuck around with it so I would be getting a body shop to do it all.

Life is good, building a house and should be in it sometime in April-March.. big 2 car garage so plenty of room for stuff. Probably going to sell my jetski to help fund the 240/buy furniture..dont really want to but meh I hardly used it last summer anyways and could use some extra cash.

Congrats on building a house thats fucking awesome. What is the average price of a house (the same kind you would be building) and how much is it going to cost you?

My parents have a single, 4 bedroom, living room, family room, 1 car garage, 40,000 sq feet (I think) with a pool that is worth lie 350k now if they sold it, bought it in 2003 for 285k and would cost 500k ish to build now.

40,000sq feet? thats a mansion lol

mine is 1,150sq ft (just upstairs, with the basement I gues you could say ~2,200sq ft) Im buying it with only the upstairs finished and am doing the basement myself, its not exactly a starter home, has tile/hardwood/good lighting.. all that. 2 bedrooms upstairs, 2 bedrooms downstairs, 2 bathrooms upstairs, 1 downstairs, 2 car garage is fully finished with a natural gas heater..

A family friend/good friend of mine is the general contractor so he is giving me a pretty good price in the $325,000 range, with the basement finished it'll be around $350,000.. if he did the basement it would have been another 10 grand or so. Then I still have blinds, a fence, landscaping... so its gonna be expensive. If I was to turn around and sell it in the fall I would probably be asking around $380,000 based on what is on the market right now.
