dirt drifting and pavement drifting are two totally different things first off. Second what are high speeds, because your not drifting any stock 240 (in 5ht gear haha) at high speeds and expecting to actually drift..Who drifts in fifth anyways? What are you drifting at like 110 MPH in your stocker? ahaha...but yeah they drift, they are rear wheel drive duh. Not to mention they are the most popular drift car ever....:rotflmao

ok #1 if you can drive you can drift in any car thats stock.. i know someone that has a stock n/a 2.4l sohc with stock suspension and everything and he can drift the shit out of his car... he even did it with an open diff for the longest time... just get it going... try it out and see what happens.. if you have something try it in a safe environment and answer ur own question

if you have never done any drifting before start off by doing some donuts in an empty parking lot once you get a hang of controlling that then i would start low speed drifts 2nd gear max, also in an empty lot. stock suspension and open diff are pretty unpredictable so stay far away from any poles or curbs.

Its all possiable. Just remember, alot the guys in the videos and on TV are useing raceing transmissions. There gears are alot closer. They are in 5th gear by the time there at the irwindale big bank.
And If you drift enough to get comfortable in second gear, and start wanting more. Then your hooked, and you will put the money into it :)
So just get started in a stock one and weld the diff. listen to s-car-go ^^

It was the carbed SOHC 4A-C, and 70bhp is a hopefull number. It was probably more like 60. If you think I'm lying, check out www.club4ac.com and ask some of the guys what kinda power they get in their cars. I think the highest powered 4A-C I've ever seen was like 130bhp and he had the thing really hopped up.

When it comes from going from my old SR5 to the 240sx, getting the thing to break loose was easy. Going from a solid axil 70bhp to 130+bhp with IRS there was no comparison. The 240's handle way better and have twice the power I was used to.

Even when running an open diff, with enough practice you can get pretty good. In fact I honestly think it's a good Idea to start learning with an open diff and upgrade as you get better.

My hachi owning friend tried it in my bone stock auto S13. He couldn't get it to go. It should be a piece of cake once I get the car back. It now has a full suspension and lsd. Once back in my hands, it will have a manual tranny.

Ok at this point im convinced you need to read , or experience more.

Coilovers dont stop weight shifting.

Weight shifting happens regardless, coil overs allow you to fine tune HOW you want that weight shift to affect the load on all 4 tires.

Coilovers are ALWAYS better.

Nothing against you. Just please don't spread Dis-information.
