Car cranks but wont turn over

man i feel sick to my stomach after my car just shut off after doing a tune up on it

ok so i did replace spark plug spark plugs wire.

distributor cap and rotor while doing that the bolt for the rotor striped and is busted so i went to advance auto parts to get a replacement bolt for it they say they didn't have to i just got a m5 bolts at the bolts and nuts section so went back home replace the dis. rotor and just the m5 bolt connection back and went to go turn it on it crank once then everything shut off after that i tryed to crank it again there was no sign only dims barely lights and when i turn the key the light shut off clock and what not and there no sign

i can turn on the wiper and the dome light cant turn on the or pop up the healight also the sealtbelt doesnt even move

PLEASE SOME ONE HELP ME FIGURE OUT WHAT HAPPENED AAHHH i feel bad because it started and what not before i did all this

P>S i have a ka24e 1990 240sx

UPDATE: ok so i tryed to see if it was something wrong with the battery so i went and got my battery pack connected it and then went to turn on ok everything is working headlight and and whatnot so i tryed to crank it again after doing that it was cranking but only 2 to 3 time then it stops.... im stuck at now...

U probably blew a fuse.. the new bolt was probably too tight or something and it cant spin, caused an amperage spike and blew a fuse. Check your fuses, see if any are linked between seatbelts/ignition etc.. This is the BEST case scenario..

i check the fuse in the engine bay all seems good i think it could be my connection to the battery as it is loose as i can just pull it off? lol also should i check the fuses under the dash if so which one?

well today i took off my starter and took it to autozone and they said it was fine so now i have 3 other options is it the DIST. or the starter relay or the alternator i also clean off the gunk off of the battery wire/clamp and check all the fuse which is still good so now what to do

now i cant even crank it but is able to turn it to the ignition nothing but light and every thing is bright and still on

ps how can you tell if your dist, alt,or starter relay went out also could it be the ignition switch??

hmm i installed my starter back now it cranking but it still a no go it sound like it doesnt want to crank or it trying to orrr it like it getting caught or something?? also im noob how you hot wire the starter to the battery?? well ima take the battery to autozone tomorrow to get it test and fully charged also im getting another starter relay just to be cautious(where is it located the relay??)

you said the car is cranking now? you're starter relay should be fine then.
if you've been cranking the motor a lot without a start, you may have drained your battery. (probably not the root of the problem)
the car worked before you did your tune up, so i'd go back and make sure everything was done right and put back in the right place.
and you should word your sentences better. the better we understand you, the better we can help you.

well i got my battery tested and they said it was fine put it back in my car and tried to crank it. It's still crank but wont turn over after that i went to see if i was getting any sparks from the plugs and to see if my distributor was working everything checked out fine so now im stuck....

again, retrace your steps while you were doing your tune up.
it seems like you caused the problem while you were doing it.
confirm that you have the spark plug wires in the right order on the distributor side.
look around for anything you might've knocked loose.
and use more punctuation next time you post.

Not to Thread jack but...

Just bought a 1990 240 myself an i have the same problem.. But everything work's but the car starting... it cranks over.. did it for awhile then it stopped altogether.... I know bad gas is a factor (Car been sitting over a year) Seen that it was missing alot if fuses so i went out an got some new one's. Im gong to get new fuel filter an Pump, Wires an Spark plugs later on. Car hasn't been started in over a year. .... So i guess im in the same boat...

The Guy before me said he got the head rebuild put it on an didn't start after that.. Car an motor has 149,495 miles on it.
