clutch pedal questions

I have an auto to manual s13 and it seems like the clutch pedal travel is way too much, at least for me anyway. I was wondering if it would be alright to spin that fork piece on the master cylinder back a good bit? By doing this the clutch pedal travel would be shorter however I feel as if the pedal would be constantly pulling on the mc shaft.

Also, is there anyway to get a stiffer feel to the clutch? Someone suggested a sohc slave but I just replaced the slave 80 miles ago.

Everything is from a dohc and there is no dampener.

Thanks!

there is some room to adjust the pedal to your liking but if you go too far you will be riding with a partially engaged clutch the entire time and that's no good. As far as stiffness goes ZIGGATRON is dead on, assuming you don't have any leaks( internal or external) in the hydraulic clutch system.

The clutch travel adjustment doesn't do too much and you have to be careful that you dont set it too little so that you are constantly riding the clutch. Otherwise, clutch travel can be determined by the kind of clutch/pressure plate you decide to run. Some PP can give you shorter travel than others depending on the design.

Not meaning to thread jack, but, how can u make that annoying Squeak from the clutch pedal stop ? WD lube her ?
Lube doesnt help. Best bet is to purchase a replacement bushing for the clutch pedal thing. Google "clutch pedal squeak" and youll find the part number for the bushing.

Mine tends to squeak a LOT when temps go above 45* ambient. Below that, its silent.
