a bit confused by my situation.. searched a bit, but didnt find anything specific. working on the car lately, and when leaving parking spots, i notice small drops of coolant accumulating on the ground. jacked the car up, and the coolant is leaking from around the crankshaft pulley area. usually gathers up just below it, on the belt. havent driven the car since fall, so quite a bit has leaked already. i'll admit that i dont know much about the coolant path throughout the engine, and if its even possible for it to leak from the pulley.. but, i did a auto-5 speed swap this summer, and accidentally loosened the crank pulley while trying to loosen the flywheel. but i did tighten it to factory specs... any help would be greatly appreciated.. btw, my motor is a ka24de.

thanks!

ooookay... for the sake of those who run into the same problem, found out its my waterpump. needs to be replaced.... guess it sits right above the crankshaft pulley and is dripping coolant...

if anyone has any ideas or corrections, feel free to respond

you never know, you could get bad oem stuff sometimes too. I know this one gen of the taurus they had an issue with OE rotors out of the box they would be rust pitted and/or heat cracks.

hell one week i went through 3 starters but just switched companies and my starter is kickin ass right now.

yeah, i should probably state that while i've used a bunch of autozone parts with good results, i'm using all napa parts for all the OE replacement pieces on my fresh engine. autozone isn't REALLY as bad as they say, but i'm not taking any chances on this one.
