Coolant leaking down on the...Transmission?

So I have a strange coolant leak on my S13 w/SR20DET and I cannot find its source. The coolant is actually coming down from off the transmission, so I checked the lines behind the engine and as near as I can tell they are fine and I cannot see any leaks.

So is it possible this is the heater core leaking? Anyone ever have this happen?

It should be easy to tell if the heater core is leaking as it should only leak out the drain tube on the firewall.
I would get a system pressure tester and pressurize the system so you can find the leak while the motors cold and not burn your self.

So thanks for the idea, this worked well.

So the heater core part turned out to just be one of the clamps on the heater core hose was loose.
But then I found another smaller leak under the intake manifold. I guess found isn't quite the right word. I can see it leaking down off the oil pan and looks to be coming from right above the oil filter. I took the filter off and still cannot see its origin. I tightened every clamp I could see or feel and its still dripping.
Ugh...I may have to take the lower intake off. Maybe this is a good excuse to buy a Freddy.

not familiar with your motor, but on the Ka24de there is a coolant line running through the intake manifold, and the in and out for the heater core is right behind the block against the firewall. easier to see with the hood off. If you havnt already found it.
