cutting holes for intercooler piping

I am getting ready to send my car out for paint and since I don't have the motor or intercooler yet, I wanted to get the holes cut for the piping. That way when my guy paints the engine bay I can have everything properly painted to avoid rust in the future. The car is an S14 w/ and S14 SR20 motor. I have not decided on the exact intercooler yet, but it would be helpful to get locations of where I need to cut the holes for it. Pics would be helpful.

It wont rust and it will look alot better if you wait. After you get it painted, lightly heat up the paint with a hair dryer and then cut a hole with a hole saw and then tape off the edge and hit it with a little bit of rustoleum spray paint in the same (or as close as you can get) to the engine bay.

IMO, a little (just the lip of the cut) bit of spray paint will look a whole lot better than a gapping hole!

here you go. It should work for you since most kits are very similar...

Great sketch out. You might have to give up your battery space and relocate it to the trunk, that's what I did. But if you must do this before you paint your car you can cut a box out for piping under your battery rack and on the other side where the SMIC hotpipe goes down to.
