im trying to get the dash out... everything is unscrewed and taken care of EXCEPT the vents on the top left and top right side. they're the ones that are mounted on the dash with screws and a little metal bracket, but im trying to figure out how to take the hose out. it looks like it can be removed? do i have to take the screws out?

the right one looks like it's going to be hard :-\ i couldn't even get a pic from the bottom

so the hose does come out of the vent? you just have to pull the shit out of it? does it break anything inside like a little clip or something?

nah it's pretty easy other than this part, although i did have a little trouble taking out the instrument cluster panel thing. the stupid tilt wheel and ignition switch were in the way, so to make space i just lowered the steering wheel column by removing the bolts underneath it which connect the column to the frame instead of taking the steering wheel out
There's no clip on the hoses. You simply have to pull them out by putting some balls behind it! :D
haha yeah!! i feel stupid now i just got it out it was pretty damn easy hahaha. i just didn't wanna break anything cus im using this dash again thanks guys!!
taking out a 240 dash is like cutting cake. i ripped mine out and replaced it with a new one in about 20 minutes. just rip those hoses off. i never reconnected mine since my heat works good enough through my defrost and i dont have AC.

take a flathead and pop off all the defroster vent covers, and you'll find your screws. the 240 dash really is cake to replace.
Aznboi: Take out all the screws you see, and drop the steering column. Vuala.
When all else fails, yank on some shit ;).
