What about California?
Cali is more restrictive. You have to pass a visual inspection too. You are not allowed to swap out the engine for a non-USDM engine.

I have a JDM engine in one of my cars and it passed emissions with flying colors. In fact, it was better than what my car did with the USDM engine in it. I'm hoping the same happens when I swap in my SR.:12dunno

Well the thing is that I my mileage is pretty high [190K]. You think any shop can rebuilt my motor? Because I'm just thinking of going to a SR20DET motor swap... or I can always turbo up the KA once I find some mechanic to rebuild the motor.

PA doesnt care what motor it is. No smog testing done for anything pre 95 so the engine passes by my Mechanics standards. Swapping KA and SR all the time is a waste of time and requires way too much work for two fucking stickers.

do you have a huge blinking neon sign over your car that says "LOOK AT ME VVVVVV I HAVE AN SR20" or do cops have a 6th sense about these things... "mmm... i can smell an sr a mile away"

this thread doesnt make sense....

and about inspections/emmissions... WV rocks, no emmisions(test-pipe all year round) and inspection is tires, windows, lights, and exhaust noise... oh and its only $12. haha you could have the glowing blinking sign as above and they wouldnt do a thing

and that is why i live there

its not possible to drive an sr in public. you will die and everyone around you will go to a peanut-butter and jelly purgatory where you will remain for the term of 34 years until you get some little kid to roll the dice on a fantastical board game to send you back to the real world.

well also is disobey traffic laws, speed, race other cars, drift in the streets well yeah u can spotting a face alot of shit, or if you just normal to commute to places obeying traffic laws, I wouldn't see a reason for a cop to pull you over, just be on the safe side, always have a front license plate mounted

In addition to what I said along time ago, drive like a granny when you see cop, push the clutch in, obey every single, keep your windows down (tinted), don't blast your stereo, Don't put on those yellow headlights (cops love to pull cars over with those). Make sure you car is not too loud, run a Cat, it's like a $600 fine in not having a CAT. I only got pulled over once since I had my swap which was back in December and it was on Memorial day weekend, and I was going 10 mph over the speed limit, he was checking to see if I was sober. Don't drink and drive

CA sux....good thing CO cops are all pretty much legally retarded....my damn ka wont pass emissions...but its beyond fixing...SR is goin in next week and i will prolly pass with that....Cops only pull you over here if you look mexican and have stoopid nike swoosh on your rear window with a zacatecas sticker above it,
