Dust cover for 5 speed

I was in the process of removing the oil pan and saw my flywheel exposed and I think I need some sort of cover. Anyone know if there is supposed to be one or what it's called? (I'll post a picture in a bit)

There would be a small window cutout if that's what you mean.
I would think its towards the bottom of the transmission.
It's there for air pressure to escape.
Think about it, you have that flywheel spinning pretty fast and if that section between engine and trans was fully sealed up you would have a balloon ready to pop.

Ok I'll have ask my grandpa since I took it from his phone. But I was worried about it being open at the bottom since rocks and other debris could get in and make it stuck.

Ok that looks rather large.

Reading this thread people are saying there is supposed to be something there.

Maybe it's this Gusset thing they have in the factory service manual?

I'll crawl under mine and see if there is anything.
Off the top of my head I know my subaru has like a 2 inch by 2 inch window cutout at the bottom of the trans to let out air/water.
I don't remember what it is at the bottom of my nissan. Even on my automatic I do remember there being some kind of black plate.
Might wanna dig around for some diagrams or something, that way you can get a part number.
Someone who parts these cars out will have it.

I found a plate that goes on the bottom the s13 ones are a whole plate but since I have a s14 trans there is only a plate that covers the bottom
