I just tuned my silvia for e85 today and I just wanted to say I highly suggest this fuel to anyone that has it avabiable. Its usually at least 30% cheaper than premium and you supposedly loose that much economy (I havent found out how much Im loosing yet). and its 105 octain. I love being able to run max boost and not have to worry!

Man oh man

Sorry, Im just excited some.

I honestly dont even want to do that. Sorry but I just have reasons.

I can make it easy for you though. Basicially you want to get your air fuel ratio proper while real time tuning. If its rich at a given load and rpm take fuel out of it, and if its lean do the opposite. When scaling your injectors of e85 tell the ecu that they are 30% smaller in cc's than they actually are and then play with your latency and k value untill you get a smooth idle that is near or at lambida.

When your adding timing you need to do it on a dyno. You dont have to worry about detenation nearly like you would on a gas engine. It pretty much just isnt there! Add timing to each individual cell your accessing untill you dont see the powerr increase from the added timing. Then remove about 2* for added safty.

Yup.. I just dropped in 370cc injectors.. limped it to the E85 pump running pig rich on a 1/4 tank of gas, filled it with E85 and about 30 seconds later, it was running like a rapped ape...

Shortly after, we did some road tests with a wideband and the numbers are where they should be.

The only programming to the ECU I did was to move the speed limiter, and remove the 68 mph Open Loop BS (causes it to go rich above 68 MPH)...

As for the timing, I have no trouble at 23 degrees base, although this month while doing the "High Speed" emissions test (3rd gear/30 mph on rollers for a load) the HC was pretty damn high...

You said "Stock Block".. but what about everything else mounted to the block? ;)

I really wanted to spend more time but I drove the car to the dyno and I didnt bring any extra fuel. I know there is allot of room for improvement down low but I just didnt have enough fuel to make it back if I stayed on the dyno any longer.
Im impressed. I havent seen such numbers on a sr with that turbo.

I will go back and focus on the lower rpms at a later date.

I run E85 on my FWD Sentra with great results.

GT2871R, 1000's, stock DE ECU, MAPECU to tune, all the typical bolt ons and bone stock internals.
Makes 371WHP at 19psi.

Been running it for over 2 years and it sat for 6 months of that. Fired up with no problem and still runs like a champ.
